U.S. District Judge Lorna Schofield of the Southern District of New York on Wednesday allowed a Vietnamese manufacturing company to proceed with a breach of fiduciary duty claim against Amazon subsidiary Amazon Robotics, finding that the claim is governed by Massachusetts law.

In an order partially granting and partially denying Amazon’s motion to dismiss the complaint, Schofield dismissed plaintiff Gilimex’s breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation and unfair trade practices claims.
