A New York appeals court put the state’s ethics watchdog back to work on Friday, less than two weeks after an Albany trial judge erased its investigative and enforcement authority in response to a legal proceeding brought by lawyers for ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department granted interim relief that will allow the Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government to resume its work.
