The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit affirmed the convictions of former Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota and his former anti-corruption unit chief, Christopher McPartland, for witness tampering and obstruction of justice.

The panel of Chief Circuit Judge Debra Ann Livingston and Circuit Judges William Nardini and Steven Menashi rejected the defendants’ arguments that the trial court improperly admitted evidence related to potential retaliation, among other issues.
