The CEO of a public relations firm headquartered in New York City has filed suit against HR analytics start-up Pipeline Equity and its CEO Katica Roy, alleging the $100,000 he put up as seed money for the company was instead used to further Roy’s personal brand.

Michael Kempner claims in his Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit that he was explicitly told during many conversations and presentations that any investments would go to develop Pipeline, to grow and develop its revenue streams, and to further its corporate mission.
