Counsel for U.S. Rep. George Santos, R-New York, said he plans to spend the August Congressional recess reviewing more than 80,000 pages of discovery produced by federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York.
“Congress is going to be out of session the whole month of August, which is wonderful timing,” Santos’ attorney Joseph Murray said during a status conference Friday in Central Islip federal court.
