Staten Island District Attorney Michael McMahon is poised to sail into another term without facing any challengers in Tuesday’s Democratic primary or the upcoming general election.

“I have striven to be fair and nonpolitical and balanced in my approach as district attorney and I think that has resonated with Staten Islanders of all political stripes,” the Democrat told the New York Law Journal. “I don’t think that the powers that be saw any need to challenge me, and that’s why we’re running unopposed.”
