After the 2011 airing of CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson’s report on a federal drug-trafficking probe, government officials allegedly conducted computer and telephone surveillance of Attkisson to identify government insiders who leaked information to her and CBS.

A forensic probe confirmed criminal, remote penetration of Attkisson’s CBS computer. In Sept. 2020, CBS produced certain documents in response to plaintiffs’ subpoena.
