Ex-President Donald Trump has been using scorched-earth rhetoric against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, but the DA is a careful and meticulous lawyer who won’t likely be rushed or distracted, some attorneys say.

“Alvin doesn’t scare easily,” said Brian Mahanna, a partner at WilmerHale who worked alongside Bragg at the New York Attorney General’s Office. “He doesn’t lose his focus and he doesn’t forget his principles. He’ll obviously recognize there’s an impact to whatever decision he makes, but he won’t let it distract or dissuade him from doing what he thinks is right.”
