By a vote of 59-37 the U.S. Senate confirmed a former Susman Godfrey partner to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday evening. 

Arun Subramanian, who is set to be the first South Asian-American to serve on the Southern District bench, is President Joe Biden’s 83rd confirmed District judge and his third to the Manhattan-based bench.
