Plaintiff brought an action under CPLR 214-g of the Child Victims Act asserting a cause of action for battery against disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein and a cause of action for negligence against other defendants including Robert Weinstein, The Walt Disney Company, and Miramax Holding Corp.

Plaintiff contended that by the time of her alleged assault in 2002, Harvey Weinstein “developed a propensity for sexually harassing, sexually assaulting, and/or attempting to sexually assault women who worked or were seeking to work in the film industry.”
