A. Gail Prudenti will step down as dean of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University effective June 30 after serving what will be six and a half years as dean.

Since being named Hofstra Law’s tenth dean in May 2017, Prudenti has had a transformative impact on the Law School, including managing a decline in enrollment at the beginning of her deanship and quickly adapting to the challenges of the pandemic, according to the school’s announcement.
