Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office on Thursday would not commit to filing a lawsuit for a ruling over her embattled nomination of Justice Hector LaSalle for New York’s top judicial post, and whether it’s entitled to a full Senate vote under the state constitution.

“We have of course been consulting with various experts on the process, but that does not mean we are set on any particular course of action,” Julie Wood, a spokesperson for Hochul, said. The office hadn’t retained counsel as of yet.
