New York Attorney General Letitia James’ top aide recently tendered his resignation amid allegations of sexual harassment by two women that were being investigated by outside counsel that James’ office retained at a maximum hourly rate of more than $850.

James’ chief of staff Ibrahim Khan is resigning, effective Dec. 31, her office said in a statement late Monday that provided a sequence of events amid suggestions that she covered up the allegations against Khan during her successful bid for reelection.
