Attorneys for former Trump inaugural committee chairman Thomas Barrack on Thursday called former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin to testify about his interactions with Barrack during the Trump administration, when federal prosecutors say Barrack was illegally acting as an agent of the United Arab Emirates.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher partner Michael Schachter asked Mnuchin about a 2017 conversation with Barrack regarding the blockade of Qatar by several Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE.
