The U.S. Court of Appeals Second Circuit has announced that it has appointed longtime Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel attorney Philip Bentley to fill one of two vacancies on the bench for the Southern District of New York Bankruptcy Court.

A partner in Kramer Levin’s bankruptcy and restructuring department, Bentley has worked on some of the firm’s marquee restructuring cases, including the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, General Motors, WorldCom and companies tied to Bernie Madoff.
