Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler and Kaufman Lieb Lebowitz & Frickfiled a wrongful death lawsuit Wednesday in New York Western District Court against the City of Rochester.
The complaint was filed on behalf of the Estate of Tyshon Jones, who was allegedly shot and killed last year by the Rochester Police Department while experiencing a mental health episode. The Monroe County District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute the officer who fired the fatal shot, the Democrat & Chronicle reports.
