New York’s Democratic-controlled legislature unleashed a succession of bills on Tuesday aimed at tightening gun laws in the aftermath of horrific mass shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde, Texas in recent weeks.

In all, 10 bills were introduced in the Senate and Assembly, Gov. Kathy Hochul, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said in a joint statement.
