Pollock Cohen LLP, a small New York-based firm that specializes in whistleblower cases and other plaintiff’s side work, has hired ex-Vermont Solicitor General Ben Battles as a senior counsel who will focus on appellate cases and public impact litigation.

Battles, who spent five years as the Green Mountain State’s solicitor general, will divide his time between New York and a new office in Burlington, Vermont, name partner Adam Pollock told the Law Journal. He is part of a growing appellate practice at the boutique firm, which now has 10 attorneys on its roster.
