An investor into a Canada-based cannabis company says he was left behind a smokescreen on its plans to acquire another firm.

Harvest Health & Recreation, an Arizona-based cannabis wholesaler and retailer, and its board of directors were hit with a shareholder lawsuit Tuesday over the company’s proposed acquisition by Trulieve Cannabis Corp. The lawsuit was filed in New York Southern District Court by Monteverde & Associates. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:21-cv-06435, Wean v. Harvest Health & Recreation Inc. et al.
