Judges on New York’s highest court are expected to appear in person this week to hear a slate of criminal cases, including oral arguments on an appeal in a fatal shooting. 

A case scheduled to come before the state’s Court of Appeals on Tuesday centers on a 2014 shooting in which a 14-year-old boy on a bus fired at rival gang members but instead hit and killed an innocent passenger, according to court filings.
