A man who pleaded guilty to working with former Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas to swindle investors in a company called Fraud Guarantee was sentenced Monday to serve one year and a day in federal prison.

David Correia, whom prosecutors described as the “closer” in the alleged $2 million fraud scheme, was the first of four defendants to go before a Manhattan federal judge sentencing in the case.
