The mayor of a Rockland County village, a former town and village justice who was removed from the bench in 2016 for unruly behavior that included launching into a tirade over the hiring of a student to work in the court clerk’s office that turned physical, has lost his law license.

Alan Simon, who currently serves as mayor of Spring Valley, was admitted to the bar in 1968, became a Spring Valley village judge in 2005 and a Town of Ramapo judge in 2011.
