A 15-year battle for control of the estate of Chinese art collector C.C. Wang turned a significant corner Thursday after New York County Surrogate Court Judge Rita Mella named Wang’s daughter, Yien-Koo Wang King, executor.

The move resolves a dispute that began with C.C. Wang’s death in 2003. King’s attempts to take control of the estate, which was once valued at more than $60 million, were initially thwarted by her brother, Shou-Kung Wang, and his son, Andrew Wang. The grandson has been at the helm of the estate since, and engaged in a protracted legal battle with his aunt.
