A public employee union in New York City has the right to obtain discovery materials in disciplinary proceedings, the Court of Appeals ruled Thursday.

Judge Rowan Wilson, writing for the majority in City of New York v. New York State Nurses Association, 53, said the city was required to provide information sought by the nurses’ union under Collective Bargaining Law §12-306(c)(4).
