New York City’s district attorneys say that to attract and retain legal talent they need additional funding to be able to offer prosecutors more competitive salaries.

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s executive budget for the 2017-18 fiscal year includes a combined $373 million for the city’s five district attorneys offices and the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor, up from $369 million in the adopted budget for the current fiscal year.
