BOSTON — Sullivan & Worcester is providing office space for the next two years to the Boston Lawyers Group (BLG), a consortium of law firms and legal organizations promoting diversity in the Boston legal market.
The Boston-based firm is giving the BLG space for three employees without charge. The BLG moves from firm to firm, and was most recently at Boston’s Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels.
The BLG, which was formed in 1986, hosts job fairs, roundtable discussions, educational programs and forums. Sullivan & Worcester is a founding member.
Currently about 50 law firms, public sector legal organizations and corporate legal departments are part of the BLG. Private sector members include Fidelity Investments and John Hancock Financial Services Inc.
“We are looking forward to working with BLG members and the law school community to maximize our ongoing diversity initiatives,” said Sullivan & Worcester’s co-managing partner Joel Carpenter. “Increasing the presence of diverse cultures and experiences strengthens our firm, and we consider it a top priority.”
