A gasket-maker that has been fighting to unseal evidence of alleged misrepresentation by plaintiffs in its bankruptcy wants to keep some information in the case sealed.

Ahead of an Oct. 16 on what information should be sealed in the case, Garlock Sealing Technologies LLC and two other related defendants said they were compelled to provide information subject to the protection of the attorney-client privilege or the attorney work-product privilege. The information came up in a dispute over whether Garlock’s past settlements were a fair measure of its liability.
