Brown Rudnick (Boston): Justin Weddle joins the firm’s white-­collar defense and government-investigations group as partner in the New York office and will focus on fraud-related criminal, regulatory and civil matters. Previously, Weddle served as deputy chief appellate attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Broad and Cassel: John Haley joins the firm’s corporate and securities practice as partner in the Miami office and will focus on cross-border transactions involving Europe, Asia, Latin Amer­ica and the Caribbean. Previously, Haley was a partner at DLA Piper.

Choate, Hall & Stewart (Boston): Timothy Becker joins the firm’s tax group as partner in the Boston office and will focus on U.S. and international tax and structuring issues relating to fund formation, operations and investments. Previously, Becker was a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Fox Rothschild (Philadelphia): Brent Chicken joins the firm’s energy and natural-resources practice as partner in the Denver office and will focus on commercial litigation, administrative law and procedure and title examination matters. Previously, Chicken was a partner at Burleson.

Jackson Lewis: Scott Preston joins the firm’s as partner in the Indianapolis office and will focus on workplace law, including civil litigation and appeals. Previously, Preston was a partner at Littler Mendelson.

Marten Law (Seattle): Andrew Bell joins the firm as partner in the San Francisco office and will focus on energy, environmental and natural-resources law. Previously, Bell was a partner at Downey Brand.

Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads (Philadelphia): Jonathan Flora joins the firm’s tax practice as partner in the Philadelphia office and will advise clients on federal, state and local tax issues. Previously, Flora was a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis.

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart: Merritt Chastain joins the firm as partner in the Houston office and will focus on employment discrimination, Occupation Safety and Health Act citations, the Employment Retirement Income Security Act, and related matters. Previously, Chastain was a partner at Gardere Wynne Sewell. Additionally, Simon McMenemy joins the firm as partner in the London office and will focus on labor and employment law matters. Previously, McMenemy was founding partner at Signet Partners.

Phelps Dunbar (New Orleans): Sharon Britton joins the firm’s litigation group as counsel to the Tampa office and will focus on commercial litigation, including intellectual property, entertainment, professional liability, health care and securities. Previously, Britton was of counsel to the Lauro Law Firm.

Taylor English Duma (Atlanta): Glianny Fagundo joins the firm’s employment, labor and immigration practice group as partner in the Atlanta office and will focus on employment, commercial and business litigation. Previously, Fagundo was a partner at Elarbee Thompson.
