Rickett focuses her practice on patent preparation, prosecution and counseling in the areas of software and technology. Rickett received her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2011. Matthew Hindman joins the firm’s intellectual property office as an associate in the San Francisco office. Hindman focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution and litigation in the areas of computer hardware and software, wireless communications, microprocessors, chipsets, mobile technology, global positioning systems and data storage. Previously, Hindman was an associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. Hindman earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2009. Erwin Cena joins the firm’s patent litigation team as an associate in the San Diego office. Cena focuses his practice on patent litigation, commercial litigation, products liability and construction defect matters. Previously, Cena was an associate at Morris Polich & Purd. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2010.

Rich May (Boston): James Heffernan joins the firm’s real estate practice group as an associate. Heffernan focuses his practice on commercial real estate, land use, and corporate law. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007.

Thompson & Knight (Dallas): Walker Brierre joins the firm’s corporate and securities practice as an associate in the Houston office. Brierre focuses his practice on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, joint ventures, and distressed investments.
