Law firms in Washington, D.C., continue to stock up on regulatory and public policy lawyers, as work related to advising clients on government matters draws more demand. Mayer Brown, Cooley and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison have all announced D.C. lawyer hires over the past week.

Mayer Brown brought on a four-person public policy team in D.C. from Dentons Global Advisors, an independent, strategic advisory firm launched by Dentons, to join the firm’s public policy, regulatory & government affairs practice in D.C., the firm said Tuesday.
