Law firms in Washington, D.C., have seen growing revenue from their lobbying and public policy practices in recent years, expanding their practices to meet client demand as companies and entities increasingly want a voice on Capitol Hill. Some law firms are seeking further growth of their practices through representing foreign countries, among other areas.

In the last two years in particular, lobbying business for law firms has been booming as major federal legislation, such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, crossed the finish line and Congress runs up on deadlines for other key legislation such as the National Defense Authorization Act and the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act.
