U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff of the Southern District of New York on Monday allowed key claims related to JPMorgan Chase Bank’s work for accused sex trafficker and financier Jeffrey Epstein to move ahead after oral arguments last week on the bank’s motions to dismiss them.

The bank, which stopped working with Epstein in 2013, faces a proposed class action suit from victims of Epstein, filed by Boies Schiller Flexner and Edwards Pottinger attorneys in November, and a suit filed by the U.S. Virgin Islands in December.
