Lawyers for former President Donald Trump on Tuesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to block a federal appellate court order preventing a special master from reviewing documents labeled “classified” that were seized by FBI agents in August from Trump’s Florida home.

In an emergency application, Christopher Kise, counsel of record for Trump, told the justices that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta did not have jurisdiction to review an interlocutory order of the district court providing for a special master to review materials seized from Trump’s home, “including approximately 103 documents the government contends bear classification markings.”
