A former Trump-era Justice Department leader who found himself in hot water after appearing on “60 Minutes” to discuss pending criminal cases filed in the wake of the U.S. Capitol riots has landed at Kobre & Kim.

Michael Sherwin, former acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, is now part of Kobre & Kim’s disputes and investigations practice in Washington. Sherwin joined the Justice Department in 2008 as a line prosecutor in Florida and was an associate deputy attorney general under then-Attorney General William Barr before being appointed as the acting U.S. attorney in D.C.
