A year after working on the first impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, Barry Berke found himself back on the Senate floor, leading a second effort to convict Trump.

For a second time, Trump was acquitted. Still, it was the most bipartisan impeachment in U.S. history, as seven Republicans joined Democrats to find the former president guilty of inciting an insurrection. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Mississippii, has since filed the first lawsuit against Trump over the Capitol riots.
