The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Wednesday upheld the ruling of the district court in President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., rejecting Trump’s attempt to block a subpoena for his financial records.

Judges Robert Katzmann, Pierre Leval and Raymond Lohier Jr. found that Trump attorney William Consovoy’s argument that the Manhattan grand jury is investigating only payments made in 2016 by Trump’s then-attorney and “fixer” Michael Cohen “nothing more than implausible speculation.”
