As Senate Republicans renewed their vow to move forward with Amy Coney Barrett's U.S. Supreme Court nomination, the justices opened their new term Monday with remembrance of her ideological opposite, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and a resurgence of hostility by two justices to the court's landmark same-sex marriage ruling.
