Defamation Suit: Harvard Law professor and criminal attorney Alan Dershowitz was hit with a defamation suit by former federal judge Paul Cassell and Florida plaintiffs attorney Bradley Edwards. The pair represent a woman who claims she was forced as a minor by financier Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with several people, including Dershowitz and Britain’s Prince Andrew. Dershowitz denied the accusation and accused her lawyers of “deliberate misconduct and unethical behavior warranting disbarment,” Reuters reports.

Kirby Delauter: Frederick County, Md. council member Kirby Delauter threatened to sue The Frederick News-Post because a reporter used his name in a story about parking spaces without his permission. The paper struck back with an editorial headlined “Kirby Delauter, Kirby Delauter, Kirby Delauter,” and the story was picked up by everyone from NPR to the BBC.
