Large companies have never spent as much on class actions as they do now, and that’s only expected to grow. But some in-house counsel who see a rise in frivolous claims in these class actions and are taking a fighting posture rather than settling.

Those are a couple of the Litigation Daily’s takeaways from the 13th annual survey of class action activity by law firm Carlton Fields, based on interviews with senior members of in-house legal teams at more than 300 large companies across various industries.
