This image was pulled from an application for a patent for a tool to balance the tension in knee ligaments during knee replacement surgery. It turns out, when it comes to total knee replacements, the long-term prognosis is a lot better when you make sure that the soft tissue is appropriately calibrated through the full range of motion.
