Security spending is on the rise and firms continue to focus on outside technology consultants, according to the newest International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and InsideLegal technology purchasing survey.

Released at ILTACON 2015, ILTA and InsideLegal’s “2015 ILTA/InsideLegal Technology Purchasing Survey” reveals that more than half of the respondents (57 percent) spend between 2 and 4 percent of firm revenue on technology. Largely, the total spending increases as firm size increases – each of the firms under 50 attorneys surveyed spent less than $17,000 per attorney on technology in the past year, while 86 percent of the firms with more than 200 attorneys spent more than $17,000 per attorney.
