“The legal industry, and specifically IP, has been underserved by technology for years,” said Jay Madsen, CEO of IP software company Lecorpio. “It seems that the legal is now prime for disruption.”

It seems that investors agree, as Madsen’s company recently raised $15 million in funding, led by M2Othat. Lecorpio told Legaltech News the additional funds will be used to accelerate growth, product development and expansion into new markets. As part of the investment, Lecorpio will also be joined by Mike Smerklo, technology entrepreneur and former chairman and CEO of Servicesource, as an investor and as a board observer.
