While attacks against retailers like Target and Home Depot have been well publicized, the past six months has shown that all industries are at risk.

A new report from security firm Vectra Networks looks at the strategic phases of a cyberattack and reveals trends related to malware behavior, attacker communication techniques, internal reconnaissance, lateral movement and data exfiltration.
