On Tuesday, Thomson Reuters announced an integration partnership with Microsoft 365’s Copilot generative AI assistant, which is slowly being rolled out to users, as well as a host of upcoming generative AI capabilities it plans to include in its Westlaw, Practical Law, Document Intelligence, and HighQ solutions.

The integration will focus initially on Copilot in Microsoft Word, allowing the assistant—which is a generative AI chatbot—to directly access Thomson Reuters’ Westlaw, Document Intelligence and Practical Law solutions, with the aim of helping users draft legal documents. “We will make our content, as well our own AI technology, available through those Word experiences,” said David Wong, Thomson Reuters chief product officer.
