It may be an understatement to say that the move to remote work merely changed the complexion of discovery. Although the discipline was already moving to a cloud-based model, and focusing more on remote collections, the pandemic shifted those plans into overdrive. Suddenly, the world was working off of their home computers and on collaboration platforms, complicating and increasing the scale of data to be collected.

What does that mean moving forward? For discovery practitioners, it means a continued time of change, as legal teams continue to adjust to remote work. But it also means opportunities—not only to adopt more efficient ways of collection and review, but to leverage new and innovative technologies in search of that better way of working.
