Cody Dumas, managing attorney at Houston’s DumasNeel, hasn’t been able to access his firm’s trust account since Tuesday, when his BBVA bank accounts were switched to PNC Bank accounts after an acquisition.
Kellye Hughes, a solo practitioner in Arlington, has had the same trouble, as have dozens of other firms that banked at Houston-based BBVA USA, which was acquired in June by Pittsburgh’s PNC Financial Services Group.
