Graciela Gomez Cowger, CEO of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, believes the change to the legal industry created by the COVID-19 pandemic is part of a greater “rallying cry” for law firms to adapt and improve.

Still, Cowger says, the conditions of the past 18 months haven’t been ideal for maintaining connections between people at the Pacific Northwest firm, which has 170 lawyers across its seven offices. Cowger sat down with Law.com to discuss the future of Schwabe in a hybrid-remote world, and how the firm’s own decisions fit into the greater economy within the communities it calls home.
