McDermott Will & Emery is on the verge of electing a new firmwide chairman, with three names currently in the reckoning for the role. The process to replace current chairman Harvey Freishtat is well underway, with a new chair set to be unveiled at the beginning of April. The three names in the running are New York office head Peter Sacripanti, Washington co-head Bobby Burchfield and head of the firm's trial practice Jeffrey Stone. Shearman secures Shanghai launch
Shearman & Sterling is set to open a new office in Shanghai after being granted a license by local authorities, the US firm announced today (10 April).
