Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s former global head of tax, Ulf Johannemann, has told the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main that he had “totally failed” as a lawyer, according to the court.
Johannemann, who was a senior partner at Freshfields when he was arrested in 2019 in relation to the long running cum-ex tax scandal, has been standing trial since September this year. He left Freshfields in 2019.
