A German lawyer, whom authorities have called the architect behind the cum-ex scandal, has been sentenced to eight-years imprisonment.
Following an eight-month trail, the Bonn regional court convicted Hanno Berger of three counts of tax evasion between 2007 and 2011, handing down an eight-year sentence.
